The principal, Fred Barnes has more than 20 years experience in financial planning, superannuation and insurance. He holds diplomas from Deakin University in Financial Planning and Insurance and is a Certified Financial Planner with the FPA.

Capital Income provides advice and assistance to both individuals and businesses, including corporate superannuation plans for businesses in the Canberra area, a number of which have in excess of 100 members.

Fred Barnes is an accredited Salary Packaging adviser to McMillan Shakespeare for both Commonwealth and ACT Government employees.

Capital Income subscribes to a sophisticated software service in order to compare various insurance products for Life, Trauma and Income Protection. The research provides information comparing both the benefits provided and the premiums, enabling the adviser to recommend a product appropriate for each individual’s circumstances.

In the superannuation area, the firm is able to recommend a plan that will meet the particular needs of individuals and businesses, no matter how small or large. The firm is also able to provide staff seminars on superannuation, insurance and broader financial planning topics.

Comprehensive financial planning is available and covers cash flow, budgeting, taxation, retirement needs, risk protection and estate planning.

Current research information on investment funds, taxation, social security and other important considerations is used in the development of individual planning strategies for clients.
